broken_heart1I am sometimes happy for not seeing you, for the distance between us. I am sad most of the times. Is it my mistake I lost you, Is it my mistake I changed. We have so many around us who influence me. I am not alone.I felt I cannot live without you.But circumstances proved I can live without anyone in this world, even without my heart. Yes…I am living without my heart, thats why I was able to throw you……  and my heart is bleeding somewhere….

Blog Action Day 2008 – Poverty

2008 October 15
by dewdropsblog

We are blessed that’s why we are blogging…there are many in this world who don’t know that we are writing/reading about them…we feel sorry for them and we are supposed to do something meaningful….There are many ways to make their life easier. We can all do this so that a fair part of our blessings are passed to them.

To be thankful to God is to be helpful to those who are in need

Here I am listing few things we can do:

  • Don’t waste food
  • Save energy (electricity, gasoline…)
  • Be good to your maid
  • Lend an ear to those who share their problems (of course not to those who blame others)
  • Donate a % of your earnings (You can gift friends and family with “sponsor a child’s education”)
  • Visit old age homes, orphanages
  • Be considerate of those who need special help (Physically challenged)
  • Pray for all
  • Respect all irrespective of their livelihood
  • Eradicate child labor

List is increasing…..u can append your thoughts ……!!!!

Together we can change “everything”

P.S: Today is Blog Action Day 2008 (15th October 2008) – an annual nonprofit event that aims to unite the world’s bloggers, podcasters and videocasters, to post about the same issue on the same day. The issue is POVERTY. This is post is my share.

To be yourself

2008 October 10
by dewdropsblog

To be yourself in the changing world is very difficult. Is it so?? I think it is!!….We all want to do things we love, read books we like, but the world or the people around us influence a lot. We have to compromise so much to be in harmony with everyone. Our tolerance level increases in doing so…Do you think all these are for a better life….I disagree. Most of us want to lead our life in our own way…After all it’s my life, why should I compromise myself for so many things!!

It’s my life
It’s now or never
I ain’t gonna live forever
I just want to live while I’m alive

I love this song for the reason stated above….

P.S: Most of the times I think I have to live for myself when I am disappointed with others…. and I wrote this after a great disappointment …may be like sahaja I should follow ‘I want what I get

India Competing !!

2008 October 2
by dewdropsblog

I feel good when I read about India and Indians pioneering in various fields. This all happened when I started reading “The World is Flat” by Thomas Friedman. Friedman is an American journalist, columnist and author. He is the foreign affairs columnist in The New York Times.Friedman views world as a level playing field in terms of commerce and competition. After reading this book, I realized the importance of competition and where India and Indians are competing. The so called, BRICK countries or third world countries are so furious in their development.

This century is good for developing countries ….the world is flat and all the resource are available to everyone, the only thing people need is motivation and passion to achieve something. I think well about myself because I am also a part of this group from India.

Last week I started reading “Exporting America” by Lou Dobbs. Dobbs blames Corporate America for outsourcing jobs. Through out the book he mentions “Cheap foreign workers”. I disagree with Dobbs. It’s true that Corporate America started outsourcing for two reasons. One reason is that Americans were not willing to do cumbersome jobs like data entry, data processing, voice to data to name a few.  That’s the way low level jobs were outsourced earlier. Because the hardworking people in developing countries did their work properly the second reason for outsourcing came into the picture. Corporate across world started thinking that developing country graduates are good and smart at doing the same job but for less. So, part by part all high tech jobs are being shifted across globe. Though we get lesser salary than Americans, outsourcing started because of cheap labor but outsourcing is continuing because we are smarter, more skillful and more hardworking.

There is no one to blame for whatever is happening. It’s the same world; people have to work for their bread irrespective of color and race. People in developing countries are not blaming government for not creating jobs, instead they improve their skills compete with their neighbors. In my past one year life in US, I have never seen a kid or a teen reading textbook. If you go to India, you can see students learning rigorously. It’s because developing countries need to improve their standard of living, want to achieve their dream.

Though the East and West culture are different, we strive hard to prove ourselves. Most of Indian students who study under the street light do not know that they are competing with rest of the world, but they are doing. I feel proud about this, and we all need to inculcate this feeling in our teens to regain India’s fame.

First Blog !!!

I have no idea…what to write here, though this is not my first blog.I started my first blog last year and dragged for a month. I closed it with two posts. Now I don’t remember the name of the blog, but I do remember the header image I used. That was a lavender flower header in white background. It looked pretty with two posts. First post was “My character”, a boring one and the wonderful poem was the second post.

Here it goes…..

What is this??

I sit near the window and look out,
I see my reflection in the window glass…..
I know that’s my image but,
I stare at your face in my eyes ……
I think about the times we spent together….
I smile at the jokes we shared together…..
I hum songs we sang together…..
I watch the place we went together……..
I long for the days we were together……..
And
I realize that
Those times, jokes, songs, places, days….
Are not going to come again………
Also, you are not going to be mine again………..
My life is not going to be meaningful again………

If you want to write a Poem about something, you really have to love that deeply. Once you love it, words pour in and writing is very easy.

I am very much determined to continue this blog.

I want to mention the inspirational blog and the blogger before I close my first post. I love each and every post of this blogger and the blog “1000petals”.A day has not passed without reading a blog in ‘1000petals”.That way I have re-read posts number of times. I just love the photos Axinia uploads in her blog. Thanks Axinia.

Thanks to Nita whose blog “nitawriter’ is an awesome blog. “Nitawriter” is always an eye-opener for me about the happenings in India.
